Racin' Model Boat Race Lights Up Greenbriar Park
At Greenbriar State Park the Sixth Annual Mason-Dixon Offshore Classic drew 49 entries. Sarasota pilot Ron Manucci and partner Mary Rizzotto explained the hobby’s cost, craft, and competition as boats sped 2.7 miles with speeds up to 60 mph. The event, sanctioned by the North American Model Boat Association International, awarded Pizza Hut funded trophies to top point earners across a two day show with crews from Philadelphia and Florida.
