Montgomery County Animal Control Director Nomination Sparks Battle
Montgomery County executive Douglas Duncan and the county council clash after the council rejects the nomination of Brendan Purvis for animal control director. Purvis withdrew, citing lack of council support, while Duncan requests state review of the process and accuses the committee of acting in public view. Supporters say the committee followed policy amid strong public letters challenging Purvis.
