Woodsboro tax rate unchanged in 131000 budget plan
Woodsboro commissioners introduced a 131 400 budget Tuesday night maintaining the current tax rate. Real property taxes are projected at 60 000 with 38 cents per 100 of assessed value, plus 25 000 in income taxes and 30 000 in highway taxes. Major expense is streets and highways at 58 472, including 25 000 for resurfacing and 15 000 for lighting. The sewer and water account forecasts 180 000 in water charges. A June budget decision by the burgess and commissioners is planned.
