Chimney Fire Delays Quiet Social at Loebs Home
A social gathering for English visitors at Mr. and Mrs. Leon Loeb on Thurston Road near Urbana was interrupted by a chimney fire. Hyattstown and Carroll Manor fire crews quickly contained smoke and aired the house, and the party continued. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Frank Coggins of England and Dr. and Mrs. Gerald Schipper. Lent is explained as lasting over six weeks with 40 fasting days, excluding Sundays.
