Hijackers captured after dash from Colombian airliner
Two Colombian pilots and a Curacao police seized an armed hijacker after a five hour onboard standoff on an Avianca Boeing 727 with 113 passengers and six crew. Passengers included at least two Americans, Peace Corps volunteer James Edwards of Oxnard, California, and his grandmother.
