Thurmont blood drive exceeds quota with large turnout
The Thurmont area blood collection on a Monday netted 156 units after seven deferred and four unsuccessful registrations. Guardians Hue Company led by example, earning credit toward the Frederick County Red Cross Blood Assurance Group Plan for 1974-75, with several organizations receiving credits for gallon donations and volunteers assisting with setup, meals, and staffing for the next drive scheduled May 14 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
