Deputy Forest Warden summoned Jim Hollman, William Hollman, and Linwood Proctor to help fight a Sugar Loaf Mountain blaze. The three men, all described as negroes, refused to answer the summons and were arrested after warrants were sworn out. Hearing set for 2 o'clock this afternoon as required by law.
The $10 000 estate of the late Miss Mary Seaman, who died intestate, will be divided among the extent of kin. A brother, a niece and six great nieces and nephews share in the distribution. The brother lives in Covington Kentucky. Henry H. Abbott is the administrator of the estate.

Troops arrived in the morning and patrolled streets while a business district deadline restricted activity and guards were posted at brick yards.
Washington May 18 Plans for complete equipment of the fighting fleet with aircraft during the coming fiscal year have been laid before the Senate Naval Committee by Rear Admiral Moffett. The project envisions 213 airplanes on battleships cruisers and other vessels with catapult launch devices to deploy defense squadrons at sea. It is presented as a defensive measure against enemy air attacks and seeks immediate adoption by the navy.
