Plane plunges into Potomac in mid river crash
Five occupants aboard a hydro aero plane en route Newport News to Washington were jolted when a loose propeller failed and the craft plunged into the Potomac near Mount Vernon. Four injured, two seriously. three rescued by a tug and taken to hospitals in Alexandria and Fort Washington. The flight followed a Newport News to Baltimore trip. two crew members identified as Picot McAuley and Philip Utter. The machine had completed the return leg when the mishap occurred.

Liquor Dealers Claim One Third of U S Tax Revenue
