Washington Notebook on Capitol quirks and Navy events
NEA correspondents recount oddities from Washington insiders including a sunglasses snafu at a PX due to a civilian ban, a Navy and Air Force Academy altitude advantage in Colorado Springs, and a pink slip tally for Leo Hall. The piece notes a Nike warhead test delay, Rep Burleson's gender role joke, the Sequoia yacht social hub, and a 35th anniversary dinner for Secretary of the Navy Charles Thomas aboard.
