Glenelg Bull Rider Blaine Whipp Wins Rookie Honors
Blaine Whipp of Myersville, a 22 year old bull rider, earned 1994 APRA Rookie Bull Rider of the Year and All Around Rookie Cowboy of the Year for the East Coast region after a string of strong rodeos in New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. He has endured multiple injuries but credits hard work, a mentor Timmy Johnson, and faith for his comeback. Whipp plans to keep riding as long as his body holds up and continues to practice at the Ridgelys’ buck out in Glenelg with friends and mentors nearby.
