British War Veteran Seeks Police Help Over Kidnap Plot
Alexander B. Robertson, a British war veteran from Bloomfield New Jersey, asks the British embassy in Washington to aid in arresting three men alleged to be coercing him to travel to South America over his relationship with Miss Mary Culberson daughter of U S Senator Charles Culberson. Robertson accuses the trio of impersonating federal officers and says detectives pressured him to accompany them to Boston to avoid trouble with British officials. He also mentions a prior kidnapping arrest of Ed Ellis and says Ellis was released on bail.
