Frederick Art Club Meeting Shows Fashion Through Time
The Frederick Art Club held a meeting at Mrs. C Howard Young’s East Church Street home. Guest speaker Dr. Thomas B Brumbaugh of the Art Department at a local college presented slides on styles from 1400s to late 19th century, explaining how clothing reveals social status and era. The program emphasized costume’s sociological background and featured works by Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch, English, and American artists.
