Baltimore man charged with manslaughter in fatal shooting of Carroll boy
Francis Vincent Welsh, 28, of Baltimore, was charged with manslaughter in the death of 12 year old Robin Stanley Hood of Pickett's Corner Carroll County. Prosecutors say the shooting may be ruled careless as police cite a contact wound and conflicting statements. Welsh was held on $1000 bond as the Carroll County grand jury considers the case.

Property Damaged By Fire Brings $7,700
The W. B. MacKenzie property of about 24 acres including a 12 room residence badly damaged by fire was sold at public sale on the Ballenger Creek pike to Jesse Clay for 7700 dollars. W H Davis Rites To Be Held Tuesday
Funeral services for Walter Hyatt Davis longtime Westminster resident and former mayor will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Westminster Methodist church with burial in Westminster cemetery.
