Survey Work To Start On Rockville Bypass
Detailed survey work on the Rockville bypass will begin Monday, as the State Roads Commission stated. A Lane Williams Robertson survey team will study the site with Rockville officials having offered much of the needed right of way. The bypass is a defined project, classified M-455-315, and progress will follow standard stages.

Rockwell Ordered to Court for Further Disposition
Associate Judge Patrick Schnauffer ordered Ralph Rockwell of near Mercersburg Pa to appear in Circuit Court next Monday at 11 00 am for disposition of his case. Rockwell was brought in Thursday on an attachment from the local court. He had a four year suspended House of Correction sentence for false pretenses and was to pay Middletown Savings Bank 2731 47 at 15 per week but authorities say payments were not made.

Coal Production Up Says National Coal Association
The National Coal Association estimated in Washington on May 6 that bituminous production for the week ended April 30 totaled 11 525 000 tons. The prior week produced 11 255 000 tons and the corresponding 1948 week yielded 14 007 000 tons. Through April 30 this year production reached 172 698 006 tons, versus 178 404 000 tons in the 1948 period.
