Maryland Relay 4Mile Run Raises Funds for MSD Foundation
DGS TAM presented a 1111.65 check to the MSD Foundation from the first Maryland Relay 4Mile Run and 4Mile Relay Race held last September. The event drew 300 participants with Sprint Corporation and The Bay Cafe sponsoring accessibility and services for wheelchair runners. The 1996 race will again traverse East Baltimore mid September, promoting Maryland Relay and its services to residents. Proceeds will benefit the MSD Foundation.

The Alzheimer s Association hosts its fourth annual conference Twilight Challenges of Advanced Alzheimer's Care on May 24 at The Silo Factory Frederick from 830 a m to 4 p m. The event aids family members friends and health care professionals with caregiving in late dementia stages. Grants from several faith groups United Way and Public Health underwrite costs. Sessions feature personal stories expert talks and workshops on behavior care planning dignity and hospice. Pre registration is required and a 25 registration fee for family members.
