Frederick Gas Co Moves Fleet to Natural Gas Power
Frederick Gas Co expands its fleet to natural gas with six of about forty vans and trucks converted so far. Vehicles carry dual fuel tanks and distinct paint indicating natural gas use. Company aims to cut air emissions and meet 1990 Clean Air Act quotas by 1998. Washington Gas Co. backs the move, with over 325 natural gas vans statewide. Frederick Gas serves roughly 10,500 customers in Frederick County.
