Gordon presents flat 39.9M budget for city
Mayor Paul Gordon unveiled a flat 39.9 million dollar city budget for the next year with no real estate tax increase and a one percent overall spending rise. He said revenue growth is small, about 464000 dollars, the slowest in over two decades, yet 70 percent of department requests will be funded. The general fund rises three percent to 29 million with police getting an eight percent boost to 495000 for two more officers and three administrative posts.
