Home values dip in thirds of markets across regions
The National Association of Realtors reports home values fell in about one third of the 129 markets surveyed in the first quarter, with California and the Northeast hit hardest. West declines, Midwest gains, and steady or rising prices in Hawaii and several other metros reflect mixed regional trends as mortgage rates stay low and demand for starter homes remains strong.
