Strength For Today by Douglass Early

The passage asks readers to reflect on their life pride, noting varied achievements from politics and social standing to business success. It hints that many individuals have found pride in different domains across their lifetimes.

The Measure of Achievement Beyond Public Recognition

The author argues true greatness lies in family life and character rather than fame or wealth. Jesus and Lincoln are cited to show that profound, private impacts outshine public honors, urging readers to evaluate personal pride by parenthood and moral influence rather than status. Early 19th century labor-saving devices noted as context.

Christ Abraham Lincoln
