Frederick Mayor and aldermen consider a 30000 program to aid low income buyers with settlement costs or down payments using Community Development Block Grant funds. Eligibility includes first time ownership within past three years, single family owner occupied homes, certain income limits, residency or work in Frederick, and counseling before settlement. Loans carry no interest and are repaid over ten years. failure to maintain occupancy triggers repayment of the outstanding balance.
