Anita Deifilia Amalia Jones, a 63 year old former Ecuadorian and longtime Frederick resident, won the third annual Maryland You Are Beautiful Senior Citizens Creative Writing contest with an essay linking Maryland to heaven. The contest, themed Maryland Yesterday Today and Tomorrow, drew nine contestants statewide with 23 winners across Maryland.
