World’s Champion Hired Gun showcases Fast Draw at events
Bothell resident Mel Stockwell nicknamed Quick Draw explains why frontier gunfights would fail today with modern safety gear and timing devices. He participates in the World Professional Fast Draw Association, earning money from demonstrations and juried fairs while running an awning business. Stockwell doubts TV depictions of gunfights and cites a 0.17 second draw time aided by timing devices. He predicts higher earnings next year.
