County OKs Middletown ambulance tax increase
Frederick County commissioners voted unanimously to raise Middletown’s ambulance tax rate from 6 to 9 cents per 100 dollars of assessed value to offset a 31 percent revenue loss from the Braddock Heights district. The Braddock Heights Fire and Rescue Company now covers that area. Braddock Heights will not be taxed. The Middletown increase funds two daytime EMS personnel at the station from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
