Capture Of Huge Cong Food Catch Told By Faas
AP photographer Horst Faas joined US 1st Division troops in a drive toward the Cambodian border. They found and destroyed a vast Viet Cong supply hub along the Ho Chi Minh Trail river system, uncovering hundreds of tons of rice salt cooking oil clothing and other goods. Alpha Company alone seized 350 tons, but the massive cache was blown up due to danger and border proximity.
