Warrants Issued for Hog Pen Violations in City
Warrants were issued Monday for the arrest of Unnee Frederick residents on charges of keeping hogs in violation of municipal ordinances. Patrolman Ralph Potts obtained the warrants from Magistrate Edward J. Smith. Defendants summoned to police court Wednesday night to answer the charges. City officials last year amended the hog ordinance to bar keeping hogs within certain distances of inhabited buildings, largely preventing hog pens in the city. The warrants are the first in the police department's campaign to rid the city of hog pens.
