Kent State memories linger for local graduates
Frederick resident Ron Parker, a former Kent State student and football player, recalls the May 4 1970 shooting and the campus upheaval. He and his wife drove away after picking up a hitchhiker who left photos showing soldiers, tanks, and injured students. Parker notes the event shaped his views and tradition of reflection at 12:04 each May 4.
