Linganore Middletown sweep MVAL track titles
Linganore and Middletown captured the boys and girls titles in the MVAL meet Friday. Middletown edged Boonsboro 145-137.5 in the boys, while Middletown girls beat Walkersville 110-104 for their first league crown. Individual winners included Billy Wood in the boys 880 and relays, Tony Lewis in the mile and two mile, Kevin Ropp in two events, and Dana Giles, Lynn Bunn, Shelley Lewis among top performers for the girls. Vera Thorsill won two events for the Singapore girls.
