Elderly stereotype sparks book on renewal of aging life
Perry Gresham, 72, former college president and educator, argues aging is a phase of renewal not decline. He says most old people defy stereotypes and has written With Wings as Eagles a practical guide to prepare for and enjoy aging, inspired by figures like Bob Hope and Barry Goldwater. He also critiques contempt for the elderly and urges a fresh attitude toward aging. A note on grinding nuts ends the piece.
