Freedom Shrine Dedicated at Thomas Johnson High School

U. S. Sen. Charles McC. Mathias Jr addressed Gov. Thomas Johnson High School students at the dedication of a Freedom Shrine. He urged youth to exercise their 18 year old vote and work within the system to change priorities, noting 25 million young people are newly eligible. The exhibit, mounted by students and provided by the Exchange Club, honors ordinary citizens who effected change.

Four More Primary Contests Tuesday

School Board Weighs Special Education Supervisor and Projects

The Frederick County School Board meets Wednesday at 9 am at 115 E Church Street to consider creating a federally funded supervisor of special education and to act on school construction matters.
