Rotarians Revisit Frederick History in Fifty Year Review
Rotarians at the Francis Scott Key Hotel heard five locals recount Frederick life fifty years ago. J. W. L. Carty recalled 1888 banking, milk delivery by wagon, and Pawnee Bill links. R. Rush Lewis spoke of five cent milk and creameries. Dr. B. O. Thomas noted pre lab era medicine. H. Kiefer Delauter reflected on law’s basics. R. Ames Hendrickson described small stores, heavy oak counters, and gentle progress. New members were inducted and guests included Rotarians from nearby towns.
