Man Dies From Auto Crash In Frederick After Crossing Street
William Melvin Trittipoe 69 retired farmer died at Frederick Memorial Hospital from injuries suffered when struck by an automobile near Grant and West Seventh streets. He stepped from behind a parked car into the path of Rhodes T. Putman’s vehicle and was knocked down. Putman, 28, Frederick Route 3, tried to stop but could not prevent the impact. Trittipoe was a longtime area resident with a large family including seven grandchildren. He was active in churches and civic groups and had lived retired at his West Seventh street home for 23 years. Funeral services are pending at M. R. Etchison and Son.

Bill Leon of Charleston South Carolina, a wrestler by occupation, was convicted in Peoples Court on two motor vehicle charges after an accident at the Route 40 and 40 A intersection around 10 45 this morning. He faced reckless driving and failing to identify himself, apprehended shortly west of the impact on Route 40 A by state troopers following the incident.

Nikirk and Sons, was badly injured this morning when a tie plank on scaffolding in the Western Maryland Trust Company bank banking room gave way, sending him to the floor. He suffered a concussion and severe lacerations and was rushed to Frederick Memorial Hospital.

A. L. Hauver 97 Dies At Foxville Home
Albert ladher Hauver a Frederick county resident died this morning at his farm home near Foxville at the age of 17 though decades wrong. He once served as a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates from Frederick county and lived his entire life on his farm. A life long Lutheran and church worker he supervised Sunday School and served on the Mt Moriah Lutheran church council. Surviving are three sons Hermans Hauver Foxville Stanley B Haaver Smithsburg Pinckney Tranver Madson Way, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 30 pm in Mt Moriah church officiated by Rev Donald Stonesifer. Interment in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. M L Creager and Son funeral directors.
