Program Of Experimentation For Next Year's Court Rules
The New York committee approved a definite program of experimentation for the 1943-44 season. It includes a rule to make it a violation when a player touches a try for goal above the level of the basket, aiming to curb the tall defender’s edge near the hoop. The experiments will be tested in various locations without immediate adoption into the code.

New Opportunities for Older War-Displaced Women
Dorothy Dix notes age as a barrier to employment after war layoffs. Many sixty and older women, trained and capable, are denied chances in business and housing.
