Murder of aged Gillis stuns Planet No 4 store area
Authorities investigate a brutal beating death of John Henry Gillis aged storekeeper of Planet No 4. Two colored suspects were released after being found to have perfect alibis. Cash over 400 dollars was found in his pocket and robbery is not ruled out as a motive. Clarendon Pa March 30 a Pennsylvania Railroad Northern Express derailed in the northwestern region injuring several persons. F B Davis said few injuries were serious and the train bound from Washington to Evie Pas had picked up sleepers at Morrisburg with five sleepers two coaches and two express cars. Russians Advance Toward Smolensk in Poor Weather

New Group Of Naval Officers Arrives Here
A new group of about 100 naval officers arrived today to attend the third basic training school at the Francia Scott Key hotel.
