Frederick County man gets 10 year sentence for four county crimes
Scott P. Huber, 23, of Monrovia, admitted to a four county crime spree last year. He pleaded guilty to two counts of storehouse breaking and entering and two counts of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. Sentences run concurrently with prior drug sentence.

Storms spread across the center of the nation with snow and rain, blotting parts of the West. By midday snow covered east-central Minnesota and parts of Iowa Nebraska and Wyoming with 4 to 7 inches reported in several Nebraska towns. Sioux City and Grand Island logged up to 5 inches in six hours, I-80 closed in Nebraska due to blowing snow, and I-70 near-zero visibility across the western Kansas region. Wind gusts reached 60 mph in Kansas and Missouri and 80 mph in the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles.

County man convicted of molesting daughter
A Frederick County man was convicted in circuit court of child abuse and second and third degree sex offenses for sexually abusing his daughter over a decade while claims of alcohol blackouts were cited. Jurors deliberated about two hours before a verdict acquitting one count. Sentencing set for May 8. The victim testified she began abuse at age six after her mother left, and she reported it in 1989 after discussing it with friends and a counselor. The defendant’s name is not released to protect the victim.
