Carr Reinstated at Maryland After ROTC Refusal
Carr is readmitted to University of Maryland classes after suspension for refusing ROTC training on religious grounds. Alan Barry Carr, son of a Baltimore Episcopal minister, said he would try to influence policy by returning and appealing to the Board of Regents for a change, though he remains opposed to mandatory military training. He had stopped attending ROTC before suspension and will make up lost time.
