Mikoyan On Stalin Criticism Strengthening Soviet Party
New Delhi March 27 Soviet first deputy premier Anastas Mikoyan told Indian and Western newsmen that criticism of Joseph Stalin at the Moscow Congress would strengthen the Communist Party and help its future. He denied unrest in Georgia and said the party’s aim was to distinguish right from wrong to arm the party for the future. He noted the questions came at a Soviet embassy news conference during his Asia tour for talks with Prime Minister Nehru and others. He said criticism is a principle struggle not a personal matter and denied plans to rehabilitate Trotsky. A bridal shower and a wartime wedding note follow as part of the same report.
