Selection of Field Corn Seed Important
College Park reports that choosing the right field corn hybrid is crucial during wartime. Albin O. Kuhn of the Maryland extension service says good hybrids boost livestock feed and support Food-for-Freedom goals while easing harvest labor. Maryland tests have identified top hybrids in Agronomy Farm No 2, with certified hybrid seed now available under the Maryland Seed Certification Board. Buy seed from reputable seedsmen and avoid replanting last year’s seed to prevent poorer yields.
