Frostburg Woman Nominated to Maryland Public Service Commission
Gov Harry R Hughes named Linda M Thomas of Frostburg to fill a PSC seat left vacant for a year. If approved by the Senate, the 33 year old executive director of the Regional Educational Service Agency in Cumberland would serve a five year term, succeeding Wayne Hamilton. Thomas, a former Annapolis fiscal analyst, said the PSC should not include consumer or utility reps and stressed being sensitive to consumer needs while listening. The nomination faces review by the Senate Executive Nominations Committee next week.
