Frederick addicts center plan aims to aid youths
Frederick group Frederick Addictive Services aims to raise a $200000 building fund to establish Maryland first center for adolescent addicts. Led by Steve Zimmerman and Ray Stephens the plan includes Christopher House aftercare, Western Maryland Technical Institute, and Substance Abuse Education and Training to remove teens from harmful environments and provide vocational training. Local advocates say existing services are insufficient for long term recovery and prevention.
