Man Injured When Train Wrecks Car
A 20 year old Frederick man, John Melvin Getzandanner, was listed in poor condition at Washington County Hospital after his eastbound 1970 car was struck by a northbound Penn Central train at Fountain Rock Road near Walkersville at 3 45 p m yesterday. The train pushed his car 92 feet. Rodney Farcht 51 of Pennsylvania was the engineer. Getzandanner was first treated at Frederick Memorial Hospital, X rayed, then moved to the intensive care unit at Hagerstown Hospital.
