Grossnickle Coffey win fourth log sawing contest at Ag Week
Frederick County Republican Committee won the Roy Porter Memorial Log Sawing Contest at Frederick Towne Mall during Ag Week. Richard Grossnickie and Ken Coffey teamed to defeat seven other teams, citing a long-running partnership and the hospital wellness program as factors. Local contenders included the Central Maryland Antique Tractor Association and two county officials, with several teams eliminated in the preliminaries. A concluding Agriculture Olympics is planned with local royal figures and 4-H participants expected to attend.
