Frederick Frederick Fare by Ethel Loeb
The piece describes a quirky winter season and social events in Frederick. It notes the Frederick Memorial Hospital Auxiliary lunch at Holly Hills Country Club with models displaying Harrison’s spring fashions, Mehry Reid as president organizing door prizes, and a luncheon menu. It also mentions the Alliance Francaise with Janet Crocker, new members Pierre Rollin and Pierre Lafaye from Pasteur Institute, and their talks on the red monkey virus and AIDS vaccine efforts at Fort Detrick. It previews a Maryland Lyric Opera performance at All Saints Episcopal Church and notes a March 23 correction about Vanessa and Jeanna Ramsburg in a film.
