City Fire Board faces questions on role and duties
At Frederick City Fire Board’s first meeting in over three months members questioned the board’s purpose and responsibilities. Mayor Young suggested splitting into smaller groups to refine tasks while items on United Fire Co substation plans and a paid engine driver were pulled for later discussion. The fourfold role proposed includes policy advice, standardizing city wide policies, improving communication, and joint lobbying.
