Children find therapy for cancer on ski slopes
Mount Airy's Bob Bingaman organized the 13th annual Family Ski Weekend with NIH Ski Club and Special Love at Canaan Valley Resort West Virginia. About 250 Special Love attendees and 40 NIH Ski Club volunteers support children with cancer through skiing and equipment provision. The event aims to boost confidence and morale as children learn to ski despite treatment fatigue. A benefit dance raised 7000 dollars for the February trip, with a November auction from local ski shops.
