The Frederick County Farm Bureau Spring Meeting is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday March 30 at the Frederick County 4-H Camp and Activities Center. Tom Miller of the Monocacy Watershed Project will discuss water quality. Reservations call Mary Sue Grossnickle at 662-8951.

The Southern States Mount Airy Cooperative annual membership meeting is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at the Mount Airy Fireman's Activities Building. The theme is Cultivating Innovation. Board nominees are Robert Christiansen, James Knill and Roger Wilson, with farm home advisory committee nominees to be drawn from the floor.
The Carroll County Farm Museum in Westminster will host group tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, April 1 and 2, with $2 per person including chaperones. teachers and one class aide are free. Agri views outlines February to April as prime time for pasture renovation using no till and minimum tillage. Steps include soil testing, reducing existing cover, and overseeding with grasses and legumes. Methods cover broadcasting, grain drills, no till planters, and disk seeding with species mixes by site and soil drainage.
