Sawmill boiler blast injures several on Abrams farm
A boiler explosion at a sawmill on the Abrams farm at Steubenville results in fatal injuries to William Abrams James Oler and Bart Bak Christopher. Welbrode a retired farmer of Mill Stone near Somerville NJ reportedly hanged himself in bed. John B Blaylock a contractor from Lamberts Point VA is killed by Henry Hyslop after a quarrel over seventy cents and Hyslop is jailed. Alonzo F Shriner chief deputy surveyor at St Louis custom house is arrested on warrants for embezzlement and failure to deposit government funds.
