In 1982 Jonnie Frye lost her marriage and almost everything to addiction, but by year’s end she had her children back. Gale House plans a 10 bed facility at 608 E Patrick St to keep women and their kids together during recovery, the Alice Olson Recovery Home. It awaits Frederick City Zoning approval with renovations costing about 275000, funded mainly by a 205000 state grant and potential 69000 federal loan. A live-in manager, resident cook, child care worker and counselors will staff the home once open by late summer.
