State May Pay Part Of Salary Of Treasurers
A House bill proposes the state pay a percentage of county treasurers salaries to counties and Baltimore city. Delegates Grove and Rainshu discussed the plan, noting it would offset time and expense for tax collection. The measure could total about 15 percent of a treasurer salary, with questions about comptroller approval. Westminster water works purchase bill also passes House and heads to Senate.
