Enemy Supply Ships Sunk In Norway Harbor
British light naval forces largely manned by Norwegians raided Floroe harbor in Norway last Sunday and sank two enemy supply ships. One large vessel broke in two and sank. another medium ship burned and then disappeared beneath the water. Both ships had been torpedoed. Shore batteries fired but did not stop the raiders, who escaped without casualties. Floroe harbor lies on Norway’s west coast about 100 miles north of Bergen.

Bill to Curb Absenteeism Approved By Committee
Washington, March 17. A measure to curb absenteeism among war plant workers was approved by the House Naval committee at 15 cents the to Trodex. The revised bill would tighten the Selective Service act to require draft boards to receive records of worker absences, and compel War, Navy and Merchant Marine Departments and all war contractors to supply the Labor Department with names of workers absent without prior authorization.
