Hundreds from Damascus High School and partner schools join the 7th Annual Walk for Kids on March 31 leaving at 9 am to raise funds for Camp Friendship for cancer patients and Camp Merrick for deaf blind and diabetic children. Sponsor Michael el Thornett reports last year’s $8,200 funded 16 Camp Friendship patients and projects $15 008 this year with about 250 walkers, aiming to fund transportation and camp costs.
